Weekly News: April 16-19

There is no school on Friday, April 20th. Enjoy the three-day weekend with your families. Our spelling test and math test will be on Thursday this week. We will also have "Fun Thursday" for all the students that have finished their classwork.

This week we are learning all about Earth Day and recycling as we read and write about ways we can help the Earth. Earth Day this year is Sunday, April 22nd.

Community Service projects are due NEXT WEEK! Students will be presenting (a short 3-5 minute oral presentation of their project) the week of April 23rd. Please practice this presentation with your child so that they are prepared to present in class. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me.We will have sign-ups for presentations on the Classroom Clipboard this week.

We will continue to observe our tadpoles' metamorphosis and watch how they grow and change. Next week, we will add new class pets to observe - caterpillars! I can't wait to watch their metamorphosis into beautiful butterflies!
