Weekly News: May 28-June 1

I hope you had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend with your families. Can you believe we only have seven more days of kindergarten?? The students have been working SO HARD learning this year! We will enjoy our last 7 days together doing fun end-of-the-year projects, playing games, reading our favorite books together, and writing about everything we have learned in kindergarten and how much we have grown!

There will be no more book bags coming home this week and this will be our LAST WEEK for folders. On Friday, your kiddos are coming home with a LARGE BROWN BAG filled with all of our kindergarten work, kindergarten folders, writing portfolios, special projects, and Father's Day gifts.

Report cards will be coming home on the last day of school. I hope that you continue to read, study those flashcards, write, and practice math over the summer so that you are even more prepared to be a first grader. I also wanted to let you know that Smarty Ants and Dreambox will be open during the summer, so you can continue to enjoy those programs at home!

Electives and Success Academy are over for the year.

End of the Year Events:
Save these important dates for next week so that you do not miss out!

Monday, June 4th:  Pajama Day!  Wear your favorite pjs to school.

Tuesday, June 5th: BSC Field Day. We are having a school FIELD DAY with all of kindergarten, first and second grades, and TK friends! We will rotate through fun centers outside in the morning. We would love parent helpers on this day! More information will be coming soon. Thank you so much for your support!

Wednesday, June 6th: Last Day of Kindergarten Celebration. We will have a very special last day of school KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM CELEBRATION on this day. We invite you to join us at 11:00 as we sing some special songs, read our last book together as a class, look through our memory books, and watch our "Kindergarten Movie". We will also be having our big end of the school year assembly at 8:10 on this morning, so mark your calendars for a full day of events!!

Weekly News: May 21-25

Each child took his or her plant pal home on Thursday. Make sure to give it plenty of water, sun, and air so it will grow!

We had so much fun on our field trip to the theater. Thank you for all of your donations into our Dollar A Day account all year long to make it possible for our kindergarten classes to go on field trips this year.

This week we are learning all about the seasons and weather.

This is the last week of Success Academy and the last week of electives.

There is no school Monday, May 28th due to Memorial Day. Have a nice three day weekend with your families.

Math: Play Dreambox for 10-15 minutes each night. Continue to discuss ways to make 5 (and ways to make 10!), numbers in base ten (in the number 16, how many tens and how many ones?), addition and subtraction number problems and word problems, 2D and 3D shapes, and the Doubles Song. Count the money in your bank.

QR Codes: Download and print the QR Code practice pages on ParentSquare.
