7 More Days!

I hope you had a relaxing Memorial Day weekend with your families. Can you believe we only have seven more days of kindergarten?? The students have been working SO HARD learning this year that we would like to enjoy our last 7 days together doing fun end-of-the-year projects, playing games, reading our favorite books together, and writing about everything we have learned in kindergarten and how much we have grown!

There will be no more book bags coming home this week and this will be our LAST WEEK for folders. On Friday, your kiddos are coming home with a LARGE BROWN BAG filled with all of our kindergarten work, kindergarten folders, writing portfolios, special projects, and Father's Day gifts.

Report cards will be coming home on the last day of school. I hope that you continue to read, study those flashcards, write, and practice math over the summer so that you are even more prepared to be a first grader. I also wanted to let you know that Smarty Ants and Dreambox will be open during the summer, so you can continue to enjoy those programs at home!

We have had so much fun watching our caterpillars get bigger and bigger and fatter and fatter as we learn about their metamorphosis. We think they will be in their chrysalis very soon!

The kids did a fantastic job sharing their community service projects!  It is wonderful to see the caring and giving our young students are participating in.  Thank you parents for all of your support!!

Our field trip is THIS Tuesday, May 9th! We will leave the school by bus first thing in the morning and we will be returning by dismissal. We will be providing snacks for each child, so you will not need to bring a snack (or a folder!) on this day. We are looking forward to a fun last kindergarten field trip together!

We are excited for our very special Mother's Day centers on Friday. We will begin RIGHT AT 11:00 so please plan on arriving by then. The students have some special songs prepared and we have a special story we will be reading together as a class. There will be activities, games, and even a snack!
