Weekly News: April 30-May 4

We will be going on a field trip next Wednesday, May 9 to the Children’s Museum of the Desert. This is sure to be an exciting “hands on” field trip.  We will be leaving school at 8:15 and returning at approximately 1:15. Mark your calendars and adjust schedules for the late pick up on this day and please note that your child will be missing any electives they may have on this day.  We will be eating our “sack” lunches at the museum following the tour.  Please pack your child a lunch in a paper bag.  No lunch boxes please. Permission slips will be sent home on Monday.  Please return ASAP. If you are interested in being a chaperone please let me know BY FRIDAY!!!! Chaperones will be riding on the bus with our classes. Please remember that school policy states NO SIBLINGS. Thanks! We are looking forward to a wonderful field trip!

We will continue learning about caterpillars and butterflies and watching the metamorphosis of our caterpillars in class! We will also learn about silkworms and moths this week as we study the differences between moths and butterflies.

Your community service projects have been fantastic! I have enjoyed watching your presentations on how you have been serving your community these past few months. It makes me so happy to see a class full of leaders!
