I hope you enjoyed a relaxing three-day weekend with your families. We have another three-day weekend coming up this week, as there is no school on Monday, February 18th.
We will be celebrating Valentine's Day together on Thursday. If you would like to donate items {or volunteer!} for this special celebration, please see the Classroom Clipboard this week. Thank you so much for all of the Capri Sun boxes {and thank you to the parents who wrapped them!} These will be used as our Valentine's Mailboxes. If your child would like to make valentines for the class, a list of boys and girls names were sent home last week. This is great writing practice for your child.
It is that time of the year and there have been so many friends out sick {including myself}. Due to the number of illnesses and crazy weather we are having, please remember to dress your child in a warm jacket or coat. Please also understand that if it is raining or snowing, I'd like to keep the students inside the warm classroom, to cut back on the amount of illnesses going around our school. Thank you.
Continue to work on your community service projects. These will be due at the end of May. Please see me if you have any questions.
Monday, February 18: NO SCHOOL!
February 25-February 28: Assessment Week {more info coming soon!}
March 4-8: Read Across America Week and Dr. Seuss Celebration {more info coming soon!}
March 11-22: SPRING BREAK!
